JESUS ON THE CROSS
JESUS ON THE CROSS

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus on the cross placed our interest above His. He did not die because of His interest but ours. We are the reason He died. Jesus did not die for His beliefs; He did not die as a martyr. He died as a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus forgave those who mistreated Him. He did not do anything wrong but they hated him and killed Him. He did not hate them back. But asked the Father to forgive them. We don't have the right to be bitter and unforgiving to those who hurt us and mistreat us. We have to forgive them for they know not what they do.
Jesus didn't pay back those who mocked and killed Him. He had the power to do that but He didn't. Not because He was weak but because He was strong. He could have but He chose to let go; that is power under control. He could have commanded angels to wipe out all this soldiers with Pilate altogether, but He didn’t.
And He because He humbled Himself even unto death, Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).
Those who take revenge on people don't have power under control. You don’t have to reply to every criticism or hateful attack. Sometimes, just keep quiet and watch how things unfold. You will be amazed at how God will fight for you.
Not every battle is worth winning. The fact that you won certain battles or arguments doesn’t make you strong. The fact that you hold yourself in doesn't make you weak either; you are rather strong. Sometimes, the best answer to give to people is silence. Leave every revenge to the Lord. He knows how to pay people well.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
