YOU RULE BY FEEDING

Psalms 28:9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
As pastors and leaders, you do not rule by exercising dominion on God’s people. You rule by feeding them. When God said, you shall rule my people, He meant you shall feed them with knowledge and understanding.
God is the one who set up pastors and leaders in the church to feed His people. We are not there to lord over God’s heritage. 1 Peter 5:2-3 says, “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being Lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.”
God’s people need to be fed with His word. And as a pastor, your number one responsibility is to feed your members with the word of God. Thus it is necessary to know the word yourself. There are pastors who don’t know the Bible. They don’t study the Bible, they don’t read anointed books; they don’t listen to anointed tapes. They are bankrupt and all they tell their members are grandfather stories.
If you are in a church where they don’t feed you with the word of God, it is time to consider it and allow the Spirit to guide you to a place where you will be truly fed. It is only when people are properly instructed in the word that they become masters over life’s circumstances. If you don’t want to be a victim in life, join a church where they will teach you the word of God in power.
Matthew 13:52 says, Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
