GET YOUR BALANCE IN THE FAITH

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Christ is both the power of God and wisdom of God. Hallelujah! Christ is not just power nor the wisdom of God, but both the power and wisdom of God. This is vital. To succeed in this kingdom walk, you need both power and wisdom.
Power gives you the ability to make things happen and effect the necessary changes in your life. With power you are able to do work and do mighty things. When the Holy Ghost came on the day of Pentecost, the apostles were empowered with ability beyond human strength, and Peter preached one message, and in one day, 3000 men were saved.
With the same power Peter healed the man at the beautiful gate who was lame in his feet from birth. Acts 5:12 says, And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people............
But power without wisdom is dangerous; in fact, the same power can destroy the one who wields it. And wisdom without power makes one less effective and dry. Wisdom is what brings balance in a man’s life and shows him what to do at the right time; it instructs a man from within on what to say and what not to say.
I heard about a pastor who gave a prophetic word to a certain influential man in his church, which was some really negative things the man has been doing; and instead of ministering to the man personally, he blurted out everything for everyone to hear. Upon this, the wife of the man got angry and decided to take the pastor on, that the pastor has disgraced her husband. The rest of the story is not a pleasant one. Most of the influential people in the church left and this pastor was left hanging.
Thank God for the anointing; but you need wisdom to guide you and give you balance and stability in what you do. As a pastor, it is not everything you see about people that you say it; there are certain things that God reveals which is just for you and not for the public. Let both power and the wisdom of God which is Christ Himself work in you effectually for your benefit and to the glory of God.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
