MAKE A CHANGE

MAKE A CHANGE
Sunday, 14th April 2019

Psalms 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

One of my philosophies of life is, it is not too late to do the right thing. No matter how long you have been on the wrong path of life, you can still make a change. There is no point continuing in the wrong path. They say, better late than never.

In our opening scripture, the psalmist said, before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. When he got to know the right path, he kept the word of God; he did not allow his former mistakes to continue – if he had continued in his former state of error, he would have continued to suffer. Continuing in the wrong path only aggravates your suffering.

I don’t know where you may be right now in your life. But if you know you are on the wrong path, it is not too late to do the right thing. Continuing in the wrong path will only worsen your plight. If you are wrong, you are wrong. Time doesn’t correct an error. Errors are corrected when men realize it and decide to do the right thing, and take the required steps to do the right thing.

God is a merciful God. God is a God of hope. He is the God of the second chance. If you will turn to Jesus today, He will give you a second chance to make things right. God is not out to condemn you for your wrongs. He wants you to do the right thing. He is on your side. Just yield to Him and trust Him with your life and He will make something beautiful out of it.

If you have been lying for a long time, you can make a change; if you are engaged in gangsterism, don’t continue in it any longer; if you are not consistent in church attendance, make a change; if you don’t tithe on a consistent basis, make a change. Take that step today to make things right in your life. Don’t continue in the wrong path.

Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
