ESTABLISH YOURSELF IN RIGHTEOUSNESS

Isaiah 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
The revelation of the righteousness of God is one revelation that you need to know for yourself. It is the main doctrine of the New Testament. Every other doctrine hinges on this revelation. It is the doctrine that differentiates between matured believers and babes in Christ.
Hebrews 5:13-14 says, “Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” NIV
Unfortunately, even a lot of preachers don’t have a clue of the doctrine of righteousness as it is revealed in the New Testament. I am referring to the “righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus”. This is righteousness apart from your works or observance of the law. Many believers don’t even believe that they are righteous. To them, they are just sinners saved by grace; some believe that the moment you sin, you lose your righteousness and you have to get cleansed to become righteous again; this is incorrect doctrine.
If you don’t have this understanding of the righteousness by faith, you will not have power in prayer. Your prayers will be full of begging and seeing all your wrongs and crying endlessly. It is the earnest and heartfelt prayer of the righteous man that makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working (James 5:16). So, you see the connection between righteousness and prayer! The more you know that you are righteous by faith, the more power you will have in prayer and effect changes.
For instance, when some people want to pray, all they see is their wrongs and sins and feel terrible to approach God. They see God as so holy and themselves unclean to stand before God. This kind of thinking will weaken your faith. Remember that our righteousness is of Christ and not of us; we stand in His righteousness. Thus take your eyes off you and look at Him whom has made you righteous.
Righteousness is the ability to stand in the presence of God without a sense of guilt and condemnation. It is what gives you boldness to approach God. It is what gives you the boldness to confront devils and enforce obedience. When we stand before demons, we don’t stand in our righteousness but in the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Get to know this doctrine of righteousness and get established in it. And when you do, you will be far from oppression.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
