THE LORD'S SUPPER - GOD'S DELIVERY SYSTEM

When Israel came out of Egypt, it was said concerning them that, there was none feeble person among their tribes. Psalms 105:37 says, “He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.” What happened to the bodies of this slaves who have been under the whiplash of Pharaoh for years? Where did they get this energy from?
The answer is found in the eating of the roasted lamb in Egypt. God instructed Moses to tell Israel to kill a lamb, one for each household; and they were to put the blood on their door post and also eat the roasted lamb. When they did this, what several plagues couldn’t do, a simple lamb that seems weak in the eyes of men brought them out of the house of bondage. They were instructed to eat the head, legs and intestines of the roasted lamb.
That roasted lamb that Israel ate in Egypt is a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus came as the lamb of God who took the sin of the world away. When Jesus hung on the cross, He was burnt with God’s fire of judgment. Every of God’s fiery wrath and indignation against our lawlessness fell on the body of Christ till He was rated by God’s fire.
The bread that we eat at the communion table is a picture of the broken by of Jesus. And in eating you have to eat well in order to get the full blessing of the body of Christ. We were told that Israel ate the lamb roasted with fire. Eating the roasted lamb means seeing Christ judged for your sins and sickness any time you partake of the Lord’s supper. God told Israel not to eat the lamb boiled with water. To eat the lamb boiled with water means, eating the Lord’s supper as an ordinary meal, not seeing Christ judged for your sins and sickness.
My friend, the Lord’s supper is God’s delivery system to give you soundness of health. When you eat, trust God for divine health into your body; see Christ’s life being infused into your body. Don’t eat the Lord’s supper as an ordinary meal – the communion is a divine meal designed to empower the church. When the two disciples on the road to Emmaus ate the Lord’s supper, their eyes were opened. If you want such great depths in God’s word, take the Lord’s supper often and trust God for revelation.

Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
