DON'T CORRUPT YOUR EXCELLENCE

Daniel 6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
Daniel was a man of excellence; the scriptures attest to that. He excelled so much till his colleagues were jealous of him. They tried to pull him down but they couldn’t. They sought to bring an accusation against Daniel but the man was above reproach – his life was full of excellence. Look at his testimony:
Then the [other two] commissioners and the satraps began trying to find a reason to bring a complaint against Daniel concerning the [administration of the] kingdom; but they could find no reason for an accusation or evidence of corruption, because he was faithful [a man of high moral character and personal integrity], and no negligence or corruption [of any kind] was found in him. (DANIEL 6:4) AMP
This Daniel was blameless and faultless. If Daniel a man who was not born again and not filled with the Spirit can be of such an excellent character, you can do it. In today’s world where men are chasing the world and its pleasures, many have corrupted their glorious destiny and good virtues. I admonish you to dare to be different among your peers, work place, church and community where you live. Be a man or woman of excellence – be noted for noble and godly character. Don’t let others corrupt your character of excellence.
For instance, there are those who used to give a lot in the house of God; then they allowed others with their stingy life to corrupt their giving life, and they have become like those stingy folks. There were those who were vibrant in the things of God; but now have allowed carnal believers and the world to quench their zeal and love for the Lord. Some people were morally upright till they joined certain firms – the people they worked with corrupted their morality.
Some people were never late for church till they allowed late comers to corrupt their excellence. Some were faithful to their spouses till they joined certain friends and groups. Some were doing their business well till they were influenced by corrupt business men with terrible business practices. Some pastors were doing the right things till they companied with the wrong bunch and got into occult practices and bad work ethics.
Continue to do the right things you are doing – it will pay off one day . Don’t let the world corrupt your excellence. You must decide today to be a person of excellence. And stay excellent in all things.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
