Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Christ in you is not a slogan in Christianity; rather it is a living reality of the kingdom of God. It was the mystery that was hidden for ages, but it has been manifested by the coming of Christ. And it is one of the biggest revelations of scripture.
And the scripture says, Christ in you, the hope of glory. Now, what does this mean? This means that Christ in you is your only hope of a better life. If you are sick, Christ is your hope of getting well. If you are poor, Christ is your hope of getting rich. If you are depressed, Christ is your hope of getting joyful. If you are in debt, Christ is your hope of getting out of debt.
Christ in you implies that all the totality and completeness of God is in you; you have the fullness of the Godhead - and this is your hope of glory. There are no words in the human vocabulary to explain this divine realities. All that you will ever need to succeed in life is already in you. Your prosperity isn’t dependent on the economy of your nation. Your prosperity is not dependent on the type of family that you come from or the nation where you reside. Your hope of a glorious life is Christ in you.
This implies that if Christ is in you there is no way that you can be disadvantaged in life. You become indestructible and imperishable. Your life can only get better and brighter. This is all because Christ is in you. Christ in you is your advantage in life – you cannot fail.
If you are not yet born again, ask Jesus to come into your heart. That’s all it takes for Christ to be in you. If you are already born again, know that Christ is in you already, never to leave you nor forsake you. Be conscious of His ever abiding presence in you.
Take advantage of the fact that Christ is in you. This Christ is your wisdom, sanctification, redemption, deliverance, holiness etc. Whatever you need is in Christ. There is hope for your life. Don’t give up. Christ in you is your hope of a glorious life. Get into the word to learn how to release this hope of a glorious life in Christ.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
