Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. AMP

There is no more judgment for the new creation in Christ Jesus. This means that the believer in Christ has escaped the judgment and condemnation of God. This implies that even though you sin as a believer, there is no judgment or condemnation. This is radical truth that hair lips some folks; this is because of their ignorance of the gospel of Christ.

Any lawyer will really understand what I am trying to communicate. There is no judge worth his salt that will condemn the same offence twice; it is never done – that will be travesty of justice; it is using the gavel unlawfully – in fact, it is oppression hiding behind intellectualism.

2 Samuel 24:‬14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord ; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man

Knowing how to touch the heart of God is key to receiving from Him. David a great man of God, a man after God’s own heart knew how to touch the heart of God. One time he counted Israel which the law forbade Israel to do that. It resulted in disaster in Israel.

God sent the prophet Gad to David to give him three options: ......Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me (2 Samuel 24:13).

Ephesians 6:10‭, 12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Prayer is our main source of strength and protection from the terror of hell. If we don’t pray, we are in big trouble. We are dealing with things we cannot see with our optical eyes. It will be stupid to throw away prayer and fight spiritual battles with your natural strength. How much can your intellectualism do for you? Scripture admonishes us to pray with all prayers and supplications: Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

You have a glorious and colourful destiny; one that is to be envied. You cannot afford to be lazy when it comes to prayer. The devil’s mission statement is very clear in scripture: steal, kill and destroy – this include your life. Thus you cannot be lazy when it comes to the things of God, especially prayer. Prayer is what keeps the devil at bay and secures your life and destiny.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Saul’s journey or pathway to destiny is worth studying. Saul’s father donkeys got lost and he was sent to go find them. While they journeyed, they went through several towns and cities but did not find the donkeys. Saul suggested to the servant that they return home for his father would have stopped worrying about the asses and is now worrying about their whereabouts.

When they got to Zuph, Saul’s servant told him that in this city there is man of God, he is honourable, what ever he says comes to pass, perhaps he will show us our way. Saul hesitated but later went with his servant to see the man of God who was Samuel the prophet.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

In most prayer meetings that I have been to, they begin by confessing their sins and asking God’s forgiveness and cleansing before they kick into prayer. Even in the church that I grew up from, this was the norm. This is not consistent with scriptures. To them if you don’t cleanse yourself, God will not hear you. They will even quote an Old testament scripture which says, If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: (Psalms 66:18).

This was before the cross. After the cross, you need to know that things have changed. God does not hear our prayer because we do good things. God hears us because of Jesus. Jesus is the foundation and guarantee of answered prayer. After the healing of the man at the beautiful gate, Peter said, .....”Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this?
