GOD SENT JESUS TO PRESERVE LIVES

Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Jesus came into this world to save the lives of men. The mission statement of Jesus is unequivocal: I have come that they might have life; and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). In another place, Jesus said, The Son of man is come to save men’s lives.
Joseph is a picture of Christ. He was sold into slavery in Egypt, cut off from the love and embrace of his father Jacob. Just like Joseph, Christ was separated from the Father on the cross and died to save the world.
When Jacob died, Joseph’s brethren became afraid that he would take revenge on them for all the evil they did to him. They sent a messenger to go and beg Joseph; then they followed and came bowed before him. But these were the words of Joseph: But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive (Genesis 50:20).
God in His foreknowledge sent Joseph ahead of time to preserve the children of Israel from dying of famine. This is a picture of Christ who God sent from heaven to earth to preserve destinies from perishing, both in hell and on earth. God foresaw the judgment that is coming upon world hence He made a way of escape, which is Christ the Lord.
Jesus came to save you from eternal damnation, diseases, and all the oppressions of satan. Those who believe in Him receives eternal life and become one with God.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
