GOD'S EVERLASTING LOVE

Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

I remember one time while doing Bible study with my kids and teaching them to memorise the opening scripture, I was just overwhelmed by the love of God so strong. Just the thought of it brought such freshness of God’s love into my heart. You will do well to meditate and feed on it.

In essence, the scriptures is God’s love letter to us. When you study it carefully, you will see the love of God in every page of it. Even in the instructions and statutes and commandments of God is His love. God’s love is immeasurable and unconditional. There is no fault, mistake or sin that can’t be covered by the love of God.

The motivation for God to save the world was love. No one prayed and asked God to come and save us. Salvation was solely God’s own prerogative. And He truly loved us enough to send us His best, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. And on that tree, Jesus took all the punishment for your sins and consumed all of God’s fury and wrath in His body – the just for the unjust that He might bring us to God. This is love!

My prayer for you is that you will get to know the depth, height, length and breadth of God’s love for you. Knowing God’s love will birth such a deep intimate fellowship with God on your inside. And this divine experience is missing in many of God’s people’s lives. God wants to be intimate with you. Press into God to know His love.

The Message translation puts our opening scripture this way: God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love! (Jeremiah 31:3). Believe in God’s love for you. Daily and continuously receive His unfailing love for you. Walk in His love. And unleash that love on your inside to others.

Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
