THE MOUNTAIN OF DELIVERANCE

But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possession. Obadiah 1:17
Scripture tells us that we have come to Zion (Hebrews 12:22). This implies that we have come to a place of deliverance and holiness. Deliverance is our inheritance. The devil seek to bring you into bondage. But never yield to his tactics and oppressions. We have been delivered from the dominion of darkness and have been translated into the kingdom of His dear Son.
Colossians 1:13 says, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” The devil has no right to oppress any of God’s children. Jesus came to preach deliverance to the captives. Luke 4:18 says, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”
This is one of the purposes of the anointing that was upon Jesus. And Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). This means that we are to preach deliverance to the captives by the same anointing of the Holy Ghost that has been given to us in order to set them free.
The word deliverance in Luke 4:18 is from the Greek word “aphesis” which according to Thayer means release from bondage or imprisonment, forgiveness or pardon, of sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty. Strong defines it as freedom, pardon, deliverance, forgiveness, liberty, remission.
When Jesus preached, people were delivered. He healed the sick, opened blind eyes, unstopped deaf ears, cleanse the lepers and raised the dead.
Jesus brought deliverance to man. Jesus did not come to bring men in to bondage. Rather He came to set the captives free. Jesus brought freedom and liberty to man. I am free to serve the Lord. I am under no condemnation. I am on the curse reversed ground. I am under the waterfall of His grace. I am seated with Christ in the heavenly places. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Refuse and reject any form of satanic oppressions in your life.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
