HE GAVE THEM PROPHETS

Jeremiah 7:25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:

God in His infinite mercy sent prophets to His people Israel. He sent prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel etc. And all of them spoke the word of God to turn Israel back to God but it didn’t work.

Jeremiah 44:4‭-‬5 Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate. ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
5 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

God sent to Israel several prophets but to no avail. Jeremiah preached all the judgment and repentance messages, but no one listened to him. How sad! God Himself knew it was not going to work. It was all just words and preaching. That was not enough to save men from their sins and grant them the heart of the Father.

Israel didn’t know the voice of the prophets. The voice of the prophets is Jesus. They couldn’t see Jesus in the shadows. They couldn’t connect the dots concerning Jesus in the prophets. So, by the time that He came, they did not know and they nailed Him on the cross and killed the Prince of Life.

All that was written in the prophets pointed to one glorious person, Jesus Christ.

Luke 24:44‭, 46 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
