Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
The people of Babel believed that they could do anything. What they dreamt of in their time with limited technology, no one has been able to dare that in this our high tech generation. This guys’ imaginations were super great. In fact, God was even impressed with their imagination.
The gift of imagination is one great gift the Lord has given to every man on earth. Someone will say, Pastor Victor, I don’t have the gift of imagination. That’s not true Sir! You do have the gift of imagination; you heard me right.
How are you able to give directions to your house? If you are able to give directions to your house, then you do have the gift of imagination. When you give directions to your house, you do that by thinking in pictures. This pictorial thinking or the ability to think in pictures is what is called imagination.
The trouble is that most people don’t use their imagination. Most of these people rather use their imagination to imagine a bleak future and a defeated life. They see themselves failing at everything they do; they see themselves not recovering from that sickness or setback; they see themselves dying and people coming to their funerals.
You can actually use your imagination to create a great future for yourself. Make some time to pray before the Lord and stir up yourself by praying in tongues. Then be still and use your imagination to imagine a great life for you. See yourself changing lives and making an impact in your world; imagine yourself rich and prosperous; see yourself doing more with the gospel of Christ. See yourself assaulting the devil and hell. See yourself superior to hell and death.
The pictures you form in your mind is what will eventually dominate your life and create the realities that you experience. Do well to master the use of your imagination. The more you spend time to think in pictures positively, the more powerful your imagination soar, which will eventually set you on high.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
