EXPERIENCE IS NOT THE BEST

Psalms 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
There is this popular saying that, experience is the best teacher. Well, that statement is not true; it lacks scriptural backing. Those who learn only by experience are not smart. And if you will learn by experience, it should not be yours. Well, you can learn from your mistakes; but it is better you learn from God’s word – it is less expensive.
You do not have to learn from the experience of the pain of divorce. Just looking around tells you that that path is not healthy. You do not have to experience divorce to learn from it. You can learn from others.
There are so many things in life that you can avoid by just looking around your environment. Very often I have asked my wife, what is wrong with women? I have seen again and again girls who got pregnant out of wedlock, stopped school, suffered to fend for themselves and their child, go through pain without the help of the useless father of their child. And yet other girls are not learning from their peers; they will dive into this nonsense and experience the pain of single motherhood.
God’s word is His wisdom. And the word of God is the best teacher. If you know the word enough and in truth, you will be wise. Pastor Timothy was a wise pastor. This is what Apostle Paul wrote to him: And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15).
There are so many mistakes that you can avoid in life if you know the wisdom of the word of God. In my life, I have not suffered so many things that most young people suffer. I got to know God’s word early enough and it preserved me from the path of the destroyer.
Study God’s word for yourself. The more you know, the wiser you become. Like Timothy, make the word of God a priority in your life. Any young person who will diligently study the word and apply its principles and precepts, will avoid so many pains in life; and his life will be full of peace and progress.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
