SET YOUR LOVE ON JESUS

Psalms 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
There is a touch of the Spirit that comes upon a man and what he does, when that fellow is deeply intimate with Jesus. Loving Jesus should be the goal of every believer in Christ Jesus.
To set your love on Jesus means to fix your desires, passions, affections and delight on the Lord. It means taking your eyes off you and fixing it on Him. Where are your desires? Are you just busy pursuing the things of this world like a mad dog? Do you make time for the Lord to tell Him how much you love Him and fellowship with Him? This applies to every one; a pastor can even be so busy and not be intimate with the one who has called him.
Colossians 3:1-2 says, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
There are those who know the power of God but don’t really have that intimate fellowship and relationship with Jesus. Don’t be surprised; it is possible to walk in the supernatural without that loving relationship with the Lord Jesus. Loving the Lord and having that deep intimate relationship with Him is a totally different thing that only few men in the body of Christ know about.
Don’t just seek God’s power; but seek to know Him personally in a loving and intimate way. Our opening scripture says that the one who set his love upon Jesus shall be delivered. A loving intimate relationship with Jesus will do you so much good; it will deliver you from the love of this world and its lust. It will bring a strange touch on your life that people will not be able to comprehend it.
And in order to set your love upon Him, you must know His love for you. And the love of Christ is seen through the cross. Jesus loved you so much that He gave His life for you, the just for the unjust that He might bring you to God. As you meditate on His great love for you, set your heart and love upon Him. My prayer for you is that you will come to that place where you are deeply intimate with Jesus in such an unusual loving way.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe that Jesus died and was raised for me. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again in Jesus’ name.
