ENJOYING JESUS

1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

We can enjoy Jesus. Our relationship with the Master is one of enjoyment. He takes delight in us. We’ve been called to the fellowship of His Son. We share in His life, power and dignity and grace. This is not the way most believers think. They see their relationship with God as master-servant relationship. No brother! We are sons of God.

We have been called into fellowship with Christ. What a calling! What a privilege! This should not be taken for granted. The Greek word for fellowship is “koinonea” which means partnership, sharing, and participation. We are participators of the divine nature and experience. God’s life and nature is now ours. We are holy as He is holy; we are righteous as He is righteous. We are powerful and full of faith as He is. Whatever He is, so are we in this world. This makes us more than mere men. We are masters to satan, sickness, poverty and the oppressions of life.

When we spend time meditating on His word we are enjoying Him. When we fellowship with him in prayer and praise we are enjoying Him. When we partake of the Holy Communion, we are enjoying Him. When we spend time just thinking of His love and goodness and relishing every moment spent with Him, we are enjoying Him. As we enjoy Him, His life flows freely through us. Jesus can be enjoyed. Spend time enjoying His presence, fresh anointing and the sweet fragrance of His grace.
