THE WORD IS A PERSON

John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

The word of God is a person, Jesus Christ. It is the life of God. The word is spirit and life (John 6:63). And it is that word that became Jesus. Jesus is the word that has put on flesh. Hence Jesus’ life came from the word of God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth

You have to cultivate the habit of relating to the word as a person. It is more than letters written on the pages of a book in black and white. As you create this consciousness, your relationship with the word changes. Anytime you read or hear the word, you will know it is a person talking to you; and that person is Jesus.

One thing you need to go any length to do is to get the word of God into your spirit and your mind. If you do, the word will talk back to you while you are asleep; lying down resting; under the shower. In the midst of a crisis, the word will jump back at you. The word is the wisdom of God to you – when you embrace Him, He will embrace you too and set you on high. You will never lack ideas and solutions at any given time. Cultivate the discipline to imbibe the word of God into your system. Glory to God!
