THE PRINCIPLE OF ACTIVE OPERATION

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Few years ago, I taught on this subject. And I believe it will be prudent to share it with you because it is one of the secrets of success in the kingdom of God. I believe if you are ignorant of this principle, you will not see a greater level of success in your life as a believer in Christ Jesus. The principle of Active Operation is based on the working of a dynamo. It states that for there to be power available for work, there has to be an activation, stirring or agitation.

The word power in our opening scripture is from the Greek word “dunamis” which means inherent power or dynamic ability that works like a dynamo. There are two major things I want to bring to your attention; firstly, the power in this context does not come from outside hence it is inherent. Secondly, this power only works when it is stirred or activated. Without activation it will not produce power for work. This is the kind of power Jesus promised those who receive the Holy Spirit will possess.

A simple dynamo is the generator. Generators only produce power for work when it is agitated. When activated, mechanical energy is turned into electrical energy. The day you received the Holy Ghost, power was deposited on your inside. This is power for exploits and service for the Master Jesus. You don’t need any power from outside. Now if we received this power for exploits the day we received the Holy Ghost, why are folks with the Holy Ghost living defeated lives? The answer is simple: they have not put the power within them to work.

The quickest way to activate this power on your inside is speaking in tongues. When you speak in tongues, you activate this power. Sadly, many believers have downplayed the importance of speaking in tongues hence they only speak in tongues once a while. No wonder they have been subdued by sickness and are oppressed by the devil. Spend more time talking in tongues for he that speak in tongues edifies (builds, charges) himself. This is what I do on a daily basis. I tell people I don’t know spiritual weakness or dryness; I do not fluctuate spiritually. My Christian life has always been on fire even before I became a Pastor. This is because I have prioritised speaking in tongues in my life.

There is too much power in you that hell is afraid of you. You don’t need some man of God to pray any special prayers for you. Even the greatest man of God can lay hands on you and pour oil on you, the only way to sustain the fire is speaking in tongues. And no one can do that for you. Put the power in you to work by speaking in tongues and you will see the demonstration of God’s power. Praise God!
