Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
A man went to Andrew Wommack for prayer. He mentioned all the sicknesses he was suffering from. Then he said, "but it is my back that hurt the most". If God can heal that one, I can live with the rest. I know you might be laughing now. But you know there are folks out there who have such stinking thinking. Andrew Wommack looked at him and said, I think if we ask God to heal everyone of those sicknesses the lights in heaven might dim; we are not sure God has enough power to pull all that out. The man looked at Andrew and said, "what I said was pretty dumb". And it is really dumb.
If you have multiple sicknesses like this man, don't sit there and say, if God can heal this one, I can live with the rest. This is the trick of the enemy to keep you in bondage and desire second best instead of the best. Jesus did not die to heal some sicknesses but all sicknesses. His death covered every sickness and every need.
The word "shall" in the opening scripture means without fail God will supply our needs. It implies that it is double sure. God has chosen to be your supplier of goods. We did not ask Him for it. By His own wisdom He has decided to make this happen by His outstretched arm. Let us learn to trust Him for all our supply and He will greatly supply.
Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
While I was in my third year in the university, I caught a hold of this scripture. I was in my room as at that time and I started shouting. My friend Ken asked me what the matter was? I showed him what I have found in the word. And we all got excited. Years have gone by but I still remember when and where that incident took place. Child of God, your heavenly father is on your side. There is a fresh benefit and supply for each day. The manna the children of Israel gathered was supposed to be gathered each day.
Each day, there was fresh manna for them to feed on. This church lacked nothing. God ensured they were adequately taken care of. That was the church in the Old Testament a picture of the New testament church. If God was so committed in meeting the daily needs of the Old Testament church, how much more will he not meet our needs, the church in the New Testament, founded on a better covenant and better promises? We need to wake up each day with the sense of God's supply; knowing fully well that He has promised to grant us our daily benefits. Praise God forever more!
