DON'T GET COMMON WITH THE WORD
DON'T GET COMMON WITH THE WORD

Job 22:22 Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
The word of God is powerful. It has power to deliver to you anything you desire. And your attitude toward the word is what will determine how much you can take from the word. When it comes to receiving from the word, you are the determinant factor and not God. This is one reason we all don’t get the same result from the word.
While some believers cherish the word, others too don’t care much. Others too have gotten to the place where they have become familiar with the word. This is a dangerous element that can make the word of God of none effect in a believer’s life. These are the folks who say things like, we know that already; tell us something new.
The word of God is always fresh all the time. There is always something new to learn about the word, the number of times you might have read or heard that word notwithstanding. There are tapes that I have listened to them over and over again. And the more I listen to them, the more I get blessed. And the more you hear a particular message, the stronger the word is built and established in you. This results into greater works and exploits.
Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
It is very easy to get common with the word of God. And this is one major trick of the devil to stop believers from getting the best out of God’s word. If there is one thing that I value most in my life, it is the word of God. I always tremble at the word of God. I do not take the word for granted.
This is why I read my Bible everyday. And as I read, I make amazing discoveries. Learn to place value on the word. Don’t get to the place where you take the word of God lightly. The value you place on the word will determine how much you get from it. I counsel you today in Jesus’ name to cherish God’s word. Praise God!
