ASK THE HOLY GHOST FOR HIS DIRECTIONS

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

One of the ministry of the Holy Ghost is that of a guide. As a tour guide He knows your business inside out. He knows how to help you avoid the pitfalls and soar above the storms of life. He is your guide to enviable success. The man without the Holy Ghost is blind; he is groping in the dark.

It is the Holy Ghost that can shed light on your business and career for you to know which path to take. But you have to ask for His wisdom and direction. This is what the wisest man in the world before Jesus came said:

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

A lot of Christian business and career men have journeyed into a land of no return; they have gone to Lodebar, a pastureless land as a result of neglecting the Holy Ghost in their business pursuit. Many are in businesses and jobs they have no business being there. And these oilless decisions have landed them in untold hardships.

When it comes to what direction to take in your business or career, it is a matter of huge importance and significance. It is not something to be toyed with as it can make or mar your entire career. In Luke 5, the story is told of how Peter and his folks had struggled all night but caught nothing. At this time they were at their wits end heading home with nothing to show for, having labored all night.

Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

But when Jesus told them to launch into the deep and they obeyed an anointed instruction, they caught so much fishes that their net began to break and their boats began to sink.

Luke 5:6-7 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink

Effort and hard work is not necessarily success. These guys labored but the results were zero; their wheels were spinning even though their accelerator was on. It is not enough to labor; you have to labor with the Spirit. There are folks like Peter and their friends who have labored all through their lives and yet have nothing to show for it.

Very often it can be traceable to laboring without the Spirit. It does not matter even if the person involved is a believer; if he does not cooperate with the Holy Spirit, his life will not end in glory. The Holy Ghost is the one who can teach you to profit.
