PUT YOUR FAITH TO WORK

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. KJV
Use the faith that you have. Every believer has faith; as long as your are born again, you already have faith. What you need to do is to put that faith to work through speaking and acting on the word. God expects you to do something with your faith. I believe your heavenly Father is excited whenever He sees you putting your faith to work; you may not see any results initially; it makes no difference; keep at it – very soon your faith will bring forth results.
One key to see your faith do mighty things is to use it in the small things. Use your faith against that headache, stomach pain, financial challenge, academic work, etc. As you put your faith to work in the small things, you will receive more Grace to do more.
For most believers, they never use their faith. It is not everything you run to the man of God. There are things that you use your faith to deal with them.
Any teaching or system that causes the members to focus only on the man of God as the way to succeed and does not put responsibility of faith on the people is not healthy – what you are going to have in such a church are weak members who cannot live without the Pastor. In such cases, all you have is one Superman pastor with weaklings around him.
The pastor must of necessity teach the people how to use their faith in God’s word to get things done in their lives. This is why we teach God’s word for the people to have something to apply for themselves; this is why we lay hands on God’s people to impart abilities of the Spirit to them.
Of course I am not against going to your Pastor for certain help – there is a place for that, while we grow our faith to do mighty things. But a time must come where the members are less dependent on the man of God for their survival – then we know we are producing true disciples of Christ. Our goal in ministry is to get to the place where ordinary members are casting out devils, healing the sick, winning the lost and discipling the nations.
As a child of God, you have faith. Use it to pray by the power of the Spirit. Learn to use your faith to call forth the things you want in life. Learn to use your faith for your health, business, family, etc. As you do, you will see yourself growing in your faith walk, becoming stronger each day.
