Matthew 11:28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” MSG
God is not slow; neither is he too fast. God is always on time. Anytime He shows up is the best time. When Lazarus died, Jesus was informed; He was told that the one whom you love is sick. Yet, scripture says, He abode for some days. Finally, when Lazarus died, He told His disciples that let us go and raise him up from the dead.
To the natural mind, why would Jesus wait till the man died before going to raise him up from the dead? In fact, when Jesus got to the tomb of Lazarus, he was already dead four days and has began stinking as decomposition has already started.
Jesus raised Lazarus back to life and news went round. He that was dead four days came out alive. Was Jesus late? Never! Jesus didn’t move anyhow while He walked on earth. He walked with the rhythm of the Spirit. While some would have rushed immediately when they heard that Lazarus was sick, He decided to delay till the man was dead four days.
When Jesus was on His way to Jairus’ house where his daughter was sick, the woman with the issue of blood intercepted Him and received her miracle. Jesus waited and ministered to this woman; He was not in a hurry. While on His way, a messenger came from Jairus’ house with the news that the girl is dead. Jesus was unperturbed. He went and raised the girl from the dead.
Don’t be carnal in your walk with God. Let Christ who is your wisdom guide you from within. All of us could rush into taking decisions and doing things that may be outside God’s will for us. And this in turn could cause a lot of trouble for us. If you will listen to the Spirit and walk in sync with Him, you will never miss anything that God is doing in your life. You will always end up at the right place at the right time with amazing and staggering results.
Don’t be ahead of the Spirit’s rhythm. Follow His rhythm from within. Trust His leading. Seek His counsel and follow His direction. Listen to His sweet voice to guide you. Learn and yield yourself to the unforced rhythm of grace and see yourself riding on the wings of the Spirit, accomplishing mighty things.
