I Corinthians 13:4‭, 6 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; ..........does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;‬‬‬‬

Love doesn’t rejoice in iniquity. One sure way to know a true child of God is that, when he does something wrong, he is never excited about it. Suddenly, he becomes remorseful and disturbed within; and godly sorrow comes upon him which leads him to repentance.

On the other hand, one who is not a child of God rejoices in iniquity because he isn’t a child of love. For the lack of the love of God, many just enjoy doing the wrong things of life.

When God’s love is working in you strong, you will never rejoice in iniquity; you will abhor sin and all its pleasures; they will become detestable things to you. The things you will rejoice about are godly, excellent and noble character.

There is nothing noble about sin. Sin is dangerous and lethal; anyone who engages in it has not truly known the love of the Father.

As new creations in Christ Jesus, you are a child of love. Jesus is the Son of love; and so are you. And because you came from love, you are supposed to produce things that are only consistent with love. Focus and feed on the love of God to be strengthened to live above sin. Those who know they are loved by God will always triumph over temptations.
