Psalm 67:2 Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind. TLB
God’s plan for salvation was planned long before man sinned. Scripture says, Christ was slain before the foundations of the world (Revelation 13:8). Salvation didn’t just come out of the blue. Neither did it happen by happen stance. There was a divine orchestration for the salvation of mankind. And it is necessary that you get to understand God’s eternal plan for mankind.
1 Peter 1:20 says, "Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you." God had His eternal plan of salvation for man before Adam sinned in the garden. The fall of man did not take God by surprise. God by His foreknowledge knew man will sin and rebel against Him thus He made a way of salvation of escape long before man ever sinned.
Someone may ask, if God knew that man would sin, why did He go ahead and created man anyway? Why did God make man when He knew all the troubles that will follow after the fall of man?
This tells you how valuable man is to God. Nothing was going to stop Him from creating man. He created man for His own pleasure. God was ready to risk everything to create man in His own image and likeness. There was no creation in all of the creation in heaven and on earth that looked like God. God needed someone who will look exactly like Him in all ramifications.
You are God’s image. When He looks at you, you remind Him of Himself. When you look into the mirror, the image you see, is it different from the person standing before the mirror? Absolutely no. You look exactly like God; and God went every length to create you, all the risk notwithstanding. This is why you need to take your life very seriously and not live anyhow. You are of value to Almighty God.
Ephesians 1:4 says, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." God is a very thoughtful God. He plans things long before they ever happened. Nothing happens to Him by surprise. He is never caught up in the moment. He is always ready for every given situation.
God’s eternal plan for man was not to destroy him. Before the foundation of the world, He chose us in Him to be holy and without blame before Him in love. Hallelujah! God never had a plan to destroy man. His plan was that of salvation. God’s desire has always been to save, heal, bless and set men free. God is a good God. Praise God!
