YOU ARE ALTOGETHER FAIR!

Song of Solomon 4:7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

I believe our opening scripture is one offensive scripture to religious people. They can’t even believe it is in the Bible. Religious people want everybody to feel dirty and guilty before the Lord. In case the King James is confusing you, look at the opening scripture in the Amplified translation: “O my love, you are altogether beautiful and fair. There is no flaw nor blemish in you! (Song of SOLOMON 4:7 AMP)

Have you seen that? This is the description the beloved gave concerning His “love”. The beloved is a picture of Jesus while the “love” is a picture of the church. And when Jesus looks at His church He says to you, O my love, you are altogether beautiful and fair. There is no flaw nor blemish in you!

I know some of you are wondering, does this scripture applies to me? Do I have to qualify to attain this standard? Do you mean with all my faults, there is no spot nor blemish nor flaw in me? Well, I didn’t write the Bible. I am just a communicator of the word; and I can only tell you what is written in the word.

Look at what Balaam said concerning Israel in the wilderness (a people full of murmurings, complaining, and even erected a golden calf): He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them (Numbers 23:21).

This does not mean that Israel was doing everything right. God said, He has not beheld iniquity in them nor seen perverseness in Jacob. Right there in the camp of Israel was a brazen altar where animals are slain. God saw the blood of animals that has covered the sins of Israel.

Over 2000 years ago, on a lonely hill at Calvary, there hung a lonely figure, Jesus, who took your entire life of sin and shed His blood for the remission of sins. Today in the sight of God, you have a clean slate before God because of what the blood of Jesus has accomplished for you. Never see yourself as a dirty fellow before God; that will break His heart. In spite of your sins and faults, still see yourself the way God sees you, holy, righteous, unblemished and unblameable in His sight.

In this grace consciousness you should stand and approach the Lord with boldness and confidence to serve Him acceptably and reverently.
