REJECT BAD THOUGHTS

1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

The devil is a trickster and a swindler; for that reason, you must be well educated in the truth of the gospel of Christ to be able to stand against his wiles and deceits and lies. The devil traps people with his lies. All of his oppressions are from his deceptions. If he is able to trap you in his deceit and lies, then he can oppress you. For as long as you are walking in the truth of the gospel, the devil cannot oppress you.

One of the devil’s schemes that he uses against God’s people is that he gives them a bad thought, then turns around and condemns them for having such bad thoughts. This guy is a master trickster.

Have you ever had a bad thought before? I guess you have. As long as you are in this world you will definitely have bad thoughts come to you. Do you know where these bad thoughts come from? Some think that it is their mind. No sir! Every bad thought is from the devil. He is the originator of all bad thoughts – it does not matter which ever form they come – it is all from the devil.

The funny thing is that after giving you a bad thought, he turns around and condemns you for having that bad thought. There is only one thing I do when a bad thought comes to my mind: I tell the devil to his face; this is your thought and not mine; I refuse it in Jesus’ name; I refuse to feel guilty and condemned; take your thought and get out.

The next time any bad thought come to you, just do what I do. Remember that the devil does not care even if you are the greatest Bishop on earth; he will still come to you with evil thoughts. He tempted Jesus. How? Bad thoughts. So, arm yourself henceforth with God’s word. Enrich your mind with the word of God on a daily basis.

Someone once said, you cannot prevent a bird from flying over your head; but surely you can prevent it from landing on your head and building a nest there. Don’t let the devil build his nest of evil thoughts on your head. Reject his accusations and condemnation and guilt thoughts. Stand on the word of God and resist the devil and he will flee from you. Now that you are in Christ, you have the mind of Christ. Keep telling yourself that I have the mind of Christ.
