2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Investment into personal development is one great investment that promises great dividends and profits. Every wise person knows the importance of personal development; and thus invest greatly into it. Every successful person you see invested into personal growth.
Success in life is not an accident. Neither is it by happen stance. Success is achieved by strictly adhering to principles governing success. And one key to success in life is personal growth and development. If you don’t invest into personal development, you will not succeed. Success begins on the inside before it shows up on the outside. You must have success in your heart before you have it in your hand.
Your spiritual development as a Christian is very vital to your walk of faith. You cannot take it lightly. Unfortunately, a lot of believers in Christ don’t really make any investment into their personal growth as far as their faith is concerned.
What have you done in the last year or two to aid your personal growth? Or are you just living without making any investment into your spiritual development? Ever since I became a believer and received the Holy Spirit, my spiritual life has always been on fire for God. I don’t know how to be a cold Christian – I don’t know how it feels like.
I have always loved to pray and study the word. Listening to tapes and reading anointed books have been part of my life ever before I started out in ministry. I have always been involved in the work of the ministry. I have spent money in buying books, tapes, Bibles, and other related materials for my growth. And I have spent several hours praying and studying God’s word. These things have helped in my Christian growth.
Growth is not by accident. You have to diligently invest into your personal growth. If you don’t grow, you will see everything around you outgrowing you. And you will never be able to outgrow your challenges and situations you face in life. God wants you to grow. God does not want you to be stagnated and plateaued in your walk of faith. Invest into your growth as a Christian. Engage in activities like prayer, word study, listening to tapes, that will enhance your growth in Christ.
