PRAYING FERVENTLY PRODUCES TREMENDOUS RESULTS

James 5:16 ........The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

The Amplified translation renders our opening scripture this way: .....The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. You don’t need to be worried about the term righteous in the aforementioned scripture. The day you got born again, you became the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

There are times faith confessions and proclamations are not enough to get certain results. I am a faith person who believes strongly in the word of faith. But I am telling you that, sometimes when you come face to face with certain situations, faith confessions is not enough. This is why some people wonder, I have confessed the word but I still don’t see any results! May be it is time to try “fervent prayer” or what it is termed “travailing prayer”. Travailing prayer is what births new dimensions.

There are situations in my life that did not go away until I prayed fervent and travailing prayer. People who are gentle and doodle and dawdle in prayer will not get any results in life. We are only to be gentle in our attitude; but when it comes to prayer, you have to be noisy and violent because, it is the violent who takes the kingdom (health, wealth, success, victory etc.) by force.

The word fervent means earnest, heartfelt, passionate, with emotions and feelings involved, ardent, aggressive etc. If none of these words can be used to describe your prayer, then your prayer is not fervent; and that means that you won’t get much results from it.

Jesus our ultimate example prayed with fervency. Hebrews 5:7 says, “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with STRONG CRYING AND TEARS....” Did you see how Jesus prayed? One time He prayed until His sweat was like great drops of blood. If you want His results, which I believe you do, then pray the way He prayed.

One time Andrew Wommack wanted to sell a property; all the adverts he put in the newspaper did not avail much. Then he tried praying fervently; immediately he got a call from someone who had wanted to buy the property ever since it was advertised. If you don’t learn to pray fervently, the devil can keep you on one spot for a long time.

The devil is a very stubborn person who doesn’t listen to reason – you have to yell at him to release your blessings. I don’t know what you may be dealing with right now. But try fervent prayer and you will see the results. Receive grace to engage in fervent prayers.
