Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Today, we live in a world that it seems as if the church has become corrupt and society seems to have lost respect for church and pastors; and this is simply because some wrong elements have crept into the church and are causing this havoc. And I boldly say that most of these false and funny pastors are not of God. It is the devil who has sent these people into the church to defile the church and to give it a bad name among men, with an eye of making people reject the gospel of Jesus.

But in the midst of all these upheavals, there are a lot of very genuine men of God and Christians around the world. There are still believers who have not compromised their faith in Jesus, just like God told Elijah, I have 7000 men who have not kissed Baal – dare to be among this people.

I encourage you today to be different. Be the light that Jesus has made you to be. Shine for the world to see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Be outstanding in your character and conduct. Give no room for things that causes reproach.

If two of you who call yourself Christians are living together and are not legally married, what message are you telling the unsaved? If you are among those changing figures in your office, what testimony are you living among the unsaved? If you have people you don’t talk to in your office or at home, what testimony are you living among men?

I am in no way condemning anyone who is into this; but you have to get out of that lifestyle. And if you are not there, never venture into it. The minister and Christian must live above reproach. We have to get to a place in Christ where even the unsaved cannot bring any accusation against us.

God is looking up to you to bring glory to His name. Your character should not hinder people from receiving Christ. Your lifestyle must bring men to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Don’t corrupt your life with the wrong lifestyle. Hate what is evil and cling unto that which is good.

You cannot be a Christian who is cheating, doing dubious things, and practicing questionable lifestyle. Your life is for the glory of God. Live it for Jesus. Be on fire for Jesus. Be aflame with the gospel of Jesus Christ in this dark world.
