DON'T CHEAPEN YOUR PRECIOUS LIFE

Hebrews 12:16‭-‬17 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.‬‬‬‬‬

Your life is very precious. It took the very blood Of Jesus Christ to purchase your redemption. Your worth is the blood of Jesus. That was the price for your redemption. God expects much from you; He expects a high standard of living from you as His beloved child.

Rich Dad said, “Every person has a weak and needy part of their soul that can be bought, and also had a part of their soul that is resilient and could never be bought. It is only a question of which one is stronger.”

Esau, the eldest of Isaac’s sold his birthright for a lunch. This fellow had no value for the birthright thus he gave his right away on a silver platter. There are many of such people around today who can be bought easily with money, wealth, and fame.

Can you be bought? Have you cheapened your life? Daniel was a man who couldn’t be bought by anything. He stood for what was right. And by that, God promoted him and he served several kings in Babylon.

Today you hear folks who have mortgaged their lives to the devil for money and fame, unfortunately, including some Christians and preachers. When you hear of how some ladies cheapen themselves for men, you wonder whether these people have taken leave of their senses.

We should be like Peter who said, your money perish with you. Peter couldn’t be bought over. Those who run greedily after money run into the ground. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Money is important but not everything. When it comes between God and money, choose God. God owns all the wealth in the world. If you follow His word, He will make you clean rich. Stand up for what is right. Speak against evil. Evil only reigns when good people keep quiet. Stand up for Jesus!
