Pastor Victor
Mark 4:24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear........
Somewhere in the year 2001, persecution broke out on Christ Embassy and Pastor Chris Oyakhilome in Nigeria. The news media carried all sort of unpleasant news about this great man of God. Sadly, the whole thing was spearheaded by some notable church leaders; and he was greatly lambasted. Nearly every news paper at the time carried the news item as their headline.
As at that time, I was following the ministry of Pastor Chris. The more I read those negative news in the papers, the more I became hesitant towards this man of God. And it nearly polluted my heart toward this great ministry. I have to really work on myself and wash my mind of all the filth and the poison that I have heard.
Those who know me knows that I am ardent follower of Pastor Chris; and I do it wholeheartedly and without any reservation. I have several of his tapes and materials. My kids are even ardent followers of Pastor Chris; they even practise his ministrations at home.
I know there are people all around the world, including Christians and preachers, whose ministry is to write nonsense about honest and decent men of God. I have seen where they have taken the tape of a dear man of God, and dissected the message for the purpose of discrediting his ministry. How sad!
No matter how genuine these people may appear on the outside, I counsel you not to listen to such folks. There is no such ministry in the Bible. If you continue to listen to this kind of people, your life will not be correct; you will be spiritually polluted; and you will end up hating the genuine and anointed men of God; and hatred is not of God.
There is no perfect ministry or church in this world. The very people who are criticising others also have things that are wrong with them. If we dig deep enough, we will find questionable things about them. There is no perfect man of God in the world. God sent men of God to you not because they are perfect. Yours is to receive them and follow their faith; and allow the scriptures and the Holy Ghost to guide you. By God they either stand or fall. You are not their judge.
