CHECK WHAT YOU BELIEVE

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: KJV

Many have not taken the time to check what they have even believed from time to time. It is important you do an x-ray on your belief system.

What do you believe? What is the root of your belief system? What are the forces that influences your beliefs? Do you know the power of your beliefs? You cannot say I believe everything the Bible say – you have to be specific on what you believe as far as God’s word is concerned.

Whether you believe it or not, you are what you believe. Your belief empowers you to become. Your actions in life are as a result of your beliefs. Hence you cannot take what you believe for granted. If you believe the word of God, your life becomes the word of God; if you believe a lie, your life becomes a lie and a bundle of confusion.

Beliefs are like a stronghold – it controls your life and everything around you. The man who believes that everyone can be sick will eventually be sick; the one who believes that giving is to make pastors rich will never enjoy the blessing on giving; the man who believes the devil is powerful will have satan reign over him. The man who believes he is subject to death will have death reign over him.

You must of necessity develop a strong belief system that is only found on the sure word living Christ. You cannot build your beliefs on assumptions, the sayings of men, neither the philosophies of this world. Get into the word of God and learn God’s word for yourself. Then release your faith into it and believe it. Then you will see your life going in the direction of the word.
