KINGDOM REWARDS FOR KINGDOM LABOURERS

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Church is not all about you coming to receive from God; there is nothing wrong with coming to receive. But much more, you have to be involved in the vision in which ever capacity; do something in the house of God. Don’t be a consumer member who only come to receive but never gets involved in the work of the Father.
Interestingly, in heaven it is your labour that will count. It is your labour and work that God rewards. In heaven, it is about the reward of your work on earth. Thus if you are doing nothing for Jesus, you will not receive anything in heaven. Works will be rewarded in heaven. Lay up your treasures in heaven.
Matthew 6:19-21 says, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Those who use what God gives them for His glory, get rewarded. Rewards are not the same as gifts. Rewards are what you receive for working for God. God’s gifts are given at the expense of Christ. For the sake of rewards in heaven, labour well.
Not everything in the kingdom of God is a gift. There are rewards of obedience and faithfulness. In heaven or the new earth, there are those who will be given dominion over cities. Will you be a pauper in heaven? Get involved in the work of Jesus; and labour in love and faith with patience to receive your reward.
The joyful thing is that, even right here on earth, God rewards faithful men who have laboured for the kingdom of God. Concerning kingdom rewards, Jesus said: But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life (Mark 10:30).
