DARE TO ACT ON THE WORD

Matthew 14:28‭-‬29 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. KJV‬‬‬‬

A lot of folks have talked about how Peter doubted the words of Jesus and was near sinking if not for the intervention of Jesus. You can sit down there and criticize Peter; but do you know that Peter is the only man apart from Jesus who has ever walked on water?

Peter did walk on water to go to Jesus before he began sinking as a result of his doubt. I am not here to focus on Peter’s doubt but on his daring nature to act on the word of Jesus when everyone was still in the comfort of the boat that was about to sink anyway.

Many are in boats that are about to sink and yet, they will not dare to believe God’s word. In the instance of Peter and the disciples, the boat in which they were was sinking as it was already full of water. And yet, when Jesus offered a solution, only one person dared to act on the word of Jesus. And it was that person that walked on water.

I admonish you in the name of Jesus Christ to dare to believe God and His word. What God’s word may be telling you may be contrary to all the opinions of men. You have to dare to believe and act on the word.

It is those who dare to act on the word that get answers and the miracles. The four lepers outside the gate of Samaria took a bold step of faith and God honoured it. It is your faith that God will reward and not the opinions of men. If no one around you is acting on God’s word, dare to believe God and take Him at His word and you will see miracles without end.
