3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
God truly cares about your pocket; the implication is that God does care about your finances. Financial prosperity is God’s will for you; don’t let religion tell you different. On the cross, Jesus became poor that you might be made rich. This is one particular thing that was specifically mentioned in scripture that talks about what Jesus really became on the cross for the divine exchange.
When you hear religious preachers preach, it is as if God does not care about our financial lives. Some even tell you that if you have too much money, you may end up losing your salvation. This is ridiculous! It is my opinion that God wants you to have plenty of money. God wants you to have money but He does not want money to have you; this is what God is concerned about.
Ecclesiastes 7:12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
Money is important! Anyone who does not take the subject of money seriously is not smart. If you are very intelligent you should know that there is nothing you can do without money. Even in the preaching of the gospel of Jesus, it will take huge sums of money to get the message on radio, television, internet, books and tapes. No matter how compelling your message may be, if you don’t have money, your voice will not be heard. Money is a defence against homelessness, hunger, shame and sacking of your children from school because of school fees. If you don’t believe what I am saying, don’t have money for one month then you will understand it well.
However, in order to prosper financially, there has to be a response to grace, faith in what Jesus did for you on the cross. If you don’t put the word concerning financial prosperity to work, you will never see prosperity. If you truly desire to prosper in your finances, then sit down with your Bible, get some anointed teachings on finances, and imbibe them into your system. Then go ahead and put to practice anything the Lord quickens in your heart.
Jesus did not die to give you poverty. The gospel message is not complete without the inclusion of financial prosperity; it is all part of the package. Money gravitates to those who like it and treat it well. I tell my members humorously at church all the time that, I don’t like sand. God wants you rich. Believe it! Accept it! And put to work the financial principles governing prosperity in the word and you will prosper to the glory of Jesus.
