Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Faith is what pleases God. While Jesus walked the face of the earth He wasn’t looking for good works – His focus was faith. Many of the folks Jesus healed were not perfect people – in fact not one of them was perfect. It is amazing! Jesus was busy teaching the word; certain men brought in a man sick of the palsy; Jesus stopped His teaching when He saw faith in action and began ministering to the man.
Throughout the gospels, faith is the only element that was able to stop Jesus in His tracks. Anytime He saw faith He was attracted to it. Of all the people thronging Jesus on that faithful day it was the faith of the woman with the issue of blood that was able to penetrate that thick crowd and attract Jesus’ attention.
As at this time Jesus was on His way to Jairus house to heal his daughter who was dying. Now here comes a woman who has lost everything but faith. As soon Jesus sensed faith He stopped in His tracks and ministered to the woman. He was not bothered that He was on His way to minister to someone’s dying daughter. It tells you how precious faith is to Jesus.
Jesus’ censors are always around trying to detect one thing – faith. The moment His sensors detects faith His power is released. I don’t believe the people who brought the man sick of the palsy were perfect people – they only had a simple faith that was able to attract the Master’s attention for ....without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Heb 11:6).
This scripture implies that without faith it is impossible to get God’s attention; and without His attention nothing works and you are stranded. In order to get God’s attention, you’ve got to give Him faith. Believe the word; act on the word; and speak it by faith and see God move on your behalf.
