THE LAST THING THAT JESUS LEFT WITH US

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. KJV
Jesus left us with power. If we do ministry without power, we have forfeited the very essence the Holy Spirit was given to us. The power ministry is for every believer and preacher called of God. You cannot do ministry effectively in isolation of power.
Jesus gave us the pattern for Ministry – preach the gospel of the kingdom, then heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead and cleanse the lepers.
For a preacher to say that, as for me, this thing of casting out devils and healing the sick is not part of my ministry is an indictment on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus gave us all the command to preach the gospel with power – it is not for a selected few. If you are not preaching the gospel with signs and wonders and miracles accompanying it, then you are living short of what Jesus commanded us to do.
There are nice churches where satan has taken center stage oppressing people. If Pastors know how many oppressions that are going on in their churches, they will take the power ministry seriously and make the investment to see God’s power demonstrated in their various assemblies.
This is one reason you see members of churches go to other churches and ministries seeking for solutions. Then that minister will say, don’t go from place to place seeking miracles – and yet you are not solving their problems and they are suffering. What do you expect them to do? Die in their predicament?
You have no right to tell your members not to move from place to place seeking miracles until you have provided solutions for them. Let us all press into God for the release of power to help God’s people. Dear pastor, people have real problems that requires real solutions. Make yourself a conduit that God can work through to reach your people. If you refuse to do that, satan will oppress people right under your nostrils – that is the basic truth.
