YOU HAVE POWER, LOVE AND SOUND MIND

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Fear is slavery and its for slaves while power, love and sound mind is freedom which is reserved for sons in the kingdom of God.

Our theme scripture is awesome. It tells us what has not been given and what has been given to us in Christ. When you get to know what you have then you will know how to use it. One beautiful thing about the New Testament is that, we are not trying to get something; all things have been given to us freely in Christ Jesus. Our responsibility is to search out what has been given to us in order to take advantage of it.

As a child of God in Christ, there is no need to fear. Fear is not of God. Fear is torment and he that fears is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

The cure for fear is love. When you know how much God loves you, your fear is non-existent. You become more restful, which in turn brings great increase.

You have power. The day the Holy Ghost came into your life with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, you received power, the dynamic and miracle working power of God.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

You are no ordinary fellow. You can actually produce miracles now hence you are not at a loss.

You also have love for the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5). God is love and you were born of God when you got born again hence you have the nature of the God-kind of love resident in you. You don't have to struggle to love, to forgive and to show kindness.

Above all you possess sound mind. Hallelujah! Sound mind is a great blessing. In the world we live today, a lot of folk’s brains are not just working. Some have troubled minds; others have unproductive minds. But when you are born again, sound mind is given to you as your inheritance. You may be wondering, are these things true? Why am I not seeing them manifest in my life? The fact that you are asking these questions means you don't know and believe you have them. You have all these treasures in you. Now that you know, you have to believe these realities of the kingdom, and then the power of God will be released for your advantage. You have power, love and sound mind to make the right judgment in life. Praise God!
