Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. KJV

God is inexhaustible! How much you take from Him is not dependent on Him but you – it is your hunger that will determine how much you receive from Him. You are where you are in your walk with God because of your desire and hunger. You can only go as far as your hunger goes.

God only fills hungry people – He has no time for people are who are not hungry and passionate about heavenly things. Your hunger is what pulls God in your direction. Hunger is a magnet – it pulls heaven in your direction.

Hunger is what will keep you at wake at night, praying without ceasing. It is hunger that will drive you to read through the Bible through and through.

A dear pastor who had a thriving church went to a Bible School. Right in this school his fire was killed – he was told prayer is not necessary; that it is not about how long you pray. He was told, look at the great men of God – they just speak the word and things are happening – deception in high places. This man returned to his church and stopped praying and fasting. It was not long that his church began to dwindle in everything. He allowed fire killers to kill the church that was once built with prayer.

Don’t let anything kill your fire. There are fire killers everywhere. Anything that attacks your hunger is dangerous. Scripture tells us not to quench the Spirit. Maintain your hunger and fire by praying and fasting consistently, studying the word.
