THE GREAT SALVATION!

And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. Genesis 45:7

Joseph's brethren sold him into slavery and he found himself in the land of Egypt. Through series of events, Joseph became the second in command in all of Egypt; infact, it was Joseph who was ruling Egypt at that time.

His brethren came to the land to buy corn. And there Joseph made himself known unto them. Through hindsight, Joseph knew that it was God who sent him ahead to preserve the lives of his family and the rest of the world.

If not for Joseph, Israel would have perished with his children. And Joseph told his brethren that, And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance (Genesis 45:7).

Joseph is a picture of Christ; and the salvation that Jesus brought to us is a great one indeed. What you have as a new creation in Christ, is the biggest thing on earth.

Cherish and celebrate your salvation. To be delivered from hell is no small deal. Don't envy sinners; what you have is the greatest. And the good news is that, right here on earth, you can enjoy this greatness which is embedded in the gospel of Christ.

There is danger in ignoring this great salvation. If you refuse to accept the sacrifice of Jesus, there is no more sacrifice for sins again. The sacrifice of Jesus was one great sacrifice of all time that took care of all sins. If you ignore this great sacrifice, you will have to pay with your life; and that will be life in hell, without God.
