TAKE CHARGE!

Pneuma Conference 2022TAKE CHARGE!

Acts 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. KJV

Several years ago, a friend of mine attended an interview with a certain company; he waited and waited but nothing came out of that interview. Others were taken but he wasn’t. The company came again to recruit prospecting employees in his former school. He went and wrote the exams and attended the interview as usual.

But this time he did something different: he came to me (back then I was just a brother in church) that we have to pray – and that he does not want to lose this opportunity again. I took him to our local church and we did real strategic warfare through intense prayers.

In a process of time, to the glory of God, he was called to resume training and subsequently was duly employed. What made the difference? It was because we decided not to allow life give us what it has – we took charge.

Just like in the case of Peter during the days of the early church, when James was arrested, the church did nothing till news came that Apostle James has been murdered. Then Herod came after Peter. This time the church did something different: they prayed till Peter was released miraculously by an angel of God.

Many of the things that we suffer are unnecessary. If we will rise up in prayer and take charge of situations, we will end up avoiding so many unfortunate happenings in our lives. Our laid back and lackadaisical attitude have caused us much pain. Sometimes we become irresponsible till it is too late – then we start behaving like the fire service. It take less to prevent a fire than to quench one.

It is time to arise and take charge. Pastor Chris once said, “Don’t let anything happen to you, whether good or bad”. You determine what happens in your life henceforth. Determine the trajectory of your life. Take charge through priesthood – intense prayers and faith filled confessions. There is so much we can change by taking responsibility. Take charge today of your life. The enemy will not win in your life again. Receive grace to take charge. Wake up! Take charge!
