WHEN YOU WALK IN WISDOM IT EXCITES THE HEART OF GOD

Proverbs 23:15 My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. 

This scripture is so powerful. It is amazing we can make God excited. It is as if God gets sad and needs to be made happy. But that’s not so. God is not in a bad mood. However, when we receive and pursue wisdom, God gets excited. It is just like a father who sees his son doing well and walking in wisdom.

As a child of God, you need to walk in this consciousness of being privileged to make God glad by walking in wisdom. This implies that wisdom is vital in our walk with God and He prizes it above many things. Proverbs 4:7 declares that, “wisdom is the principal thing.” The word principal means first or chief in rank, place or time. When we pursue wisdom and receive it, we are pursuing what is most important.

Wisdom must be your pursuit; you have to desire it like the honeycomb. King Solomon having been instructed by David his father, knew what to ask when God visited him at Gibeon and gave him a blank cheque. He simply asked for wisdom and God gave him what he did not ask for which includes riches and fame like no other king before or after him.

Proverbs 27:11 says “My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me”.

God is telling you that the way you can make His heart glad is by becoming wise. There are too many God’s kids who are acting foolishly in the kingdom affairs. They have not been instructed in the way of wisdom. When you sit at the feet of Jesus and hear His word, it is wisdom. When you make church attendance a priority, you are walking in wisdom. When you read the Bible and see the terrible mistakes people did, and let that enter into your heart, as you take steps to avoid those blunders, you are walking in wisdom. When you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, you are walking in wisdom.

As a child of God, Christ has been made wisdom to you; wisdom is available to you. Start studying the word which is the wisdom of God and walk in the light of it and make God’s heart glad.
