POSITION YOURSELF FOR GOD TO SPEAK TO YOU

Revelation 1:1-2 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

“One word from God can change your life forever.” If you’ve been a believer for a while you might have heard this statement again and again. If this is true, and it is true, then we have to make it a priority to hear from God. And for that to happen, we must position ourselves for it. Spiritual things don’t just happen; there are laws governing the spirit world that must be obeyed for a life of success.

There are ways in which you can position yourself for God to speak to you. Firstly, you must be willing to hear His voice. Desire is a key to open heaven to you. Those who don’t desire to hear from God may never hear God. God only meets your expectation. Secondly, you have to keep writing materials by your side all the time, especially when you are sleeping. This helps you to write anything God speaks to you through dreams or visions. If you don’t practice these simple things I am sharing with you, there are very important things God may not speak to you about. And the ones He speaks to you, you may end up losing those vital information.

These days technology has made this practice even more easily. Create files on your computer, tablet and mobile phones, and give it a name which will contain things God speaks to you. Do have dairies you record the things God speaks to you and date them. These are acts of faith – it shows that you treasure the voice of God.

Mike Murdock said, “A short pencil is better than a long memory.” So true! We have the Bible today because men penned down the things God spoke to them. Journaling is the wisdom of God. Journaling is one of my strength. l just love to pen down any thought or revelation the Holy Ghost shares with me. Jesus has made it possible for us to hear God’s voice through the agency of the Holy Spirit. Let God speak to you today for your advantage!
