THE WORKING CULTURE OF JESUS

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. KJV

Jesus revealed to us that God is a worker. God is at work all round the clock. God is moving all over the world, bringing many to righteousness. If God is a worker, you cannot be lazy. Your heavenly Father is working all the time. You must be a worker yourself. God does not tolerate idleness in His kingdom.

In the parable of the workers, Jesus told us that the householder went out at eleventh hour and found some folks idling around the market place, doing nothing. He asked them to go into his field.

Matthew 20:6‭-‬7 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

God’s nature and justice system is against laziness. God has designed His system to work against lazy folks. This is why giving a lazy man food to eat is fighting against God. Never give money to a lazy man. This is because the only cure for laziness is hunger and suffering. If the lazy man finds comfort, he will never work to become a contributor to society.

When Jesus came to the earth, He exemplified the nature of God – He worked tirelessly. He went about preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sicknesses.

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. KJV

When He was even tired and the people came to Him, He still ministered to them. Make up your mind that you are going to be a tireless worker, one who is serious and diligent with his work. Laziness does not pay; it only breeds poverty. God is a worker; Jesus did; you must follow their example.
