Acts 19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

Miracles are not fairy tales; neither are they the assumptions of the mind. They are real. They are God’s supernatural acts that transcends natural laws. God is a God of miracles, signs and wonders. And God has not changed; the miracles He did in Bible days, he is still doing them today because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:6).

One time we went out to preach the gospel of Christ. While ministering, we met a girl who was in her second year in Senior High School. This girl was using three eye glasses: one for long sightedness, one for short-sightedness, and the other for astigmatism. Prior to this time, I had never met anyone with such condition. In class, her desk was closer to the chalkboard than all her peers. Her condition was terrible. Medicine could not help her. She said sometimes when she walked, she felt like falling because she could not see well.

After preaching the gospel to her, I asked her if she believe Jesus can heal her. She replied, “yes.” Upon this, I laid hands on her and prayed a prayer of faith for not more than two minutes. After the prayer, I asked her to read the Bible I was holding which letters were very small. She read without any difficulty; also, she read another bill on the wall. What medicine could not do, the power of God did. The joy and excitement that erupted was unspeakable. Now her eyesight was restored. She will see clearly and prepare well for her WASSCE examinations. Hallelujah!

Now don’t tell me miracles are not real; don’t tell me miracles are a relic of a lost era. I have seen them and they are real. The prophets of old performed many miracles. Elijah called down rain after a drought of three and half years. Moses turned water into blood. Joshua spoke to the moon and sun and they stood still. Then came Jesus raising the dead, opening blind eyes and unstopping deaf ears. The Apostles followed the same and performed many miracles.

The key to unlocking the miraculous is faith; I am talking about simple faith in the word of God; just acting on what the word has said irrespective of your experience. If you will believe what God has said in His word, and speak and act upon it, you will see endless miracles. There is no situation that is beyond God’s power. Anything is possible if you will only believe. Miracles are real; and miracles are for today. Praise God!
