Proverbs 15:23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
The book of Proverbs is an outstanding book of wisdom. If you will take the revelations revealed in this book of wisdom seriously, you will wise up in no time. It teaches you practical wisdom for practical living. I heard about a young guy who was not doing well in school; he was below average. But after continuously reading the book of Proverbs, his grades went up in school.
If there is any book that teaches the importance of the use of the mouth, then it is the book of Proverbs. Our opening scripture lets us know that our joy is in our mouth. What you say determines whether you will have joy or sadness. Your words control or create the atmosphere in which you live in. When you speak well, things begin to happen, and the result will be joy and excitement.
If you don’t want to mourn in life, then learn to speak things that are consistent with scripture. Speak words of life into your life. When you wake up in the morning, instead of speaking of negative things, tell yourself, I have a good day; good things are coming my way: I cannot fail; I am full of wisdom; everything I touch prospers because I am the seed of Abraham. Hallelujah!
How can you talk like this and fail? It is not possible. A man’s joy is not in the things that happens around him. The happenings around you is not the issue. The real issue lies in what you have been saying. You can change anything in your life by the words you speak. God’s word has power. When it comes to you as Rhema, and you speak it forth in faith, miracles begin to happens. Nearly all of Jesus’ miracles were performed by words.
Jesus cursed the fig tree by speaking to it. He raised Lazarus from the dead by calling him forth. He stilled the storms by speaking to it. You can have joy all around you. And it comes by the answer of your mouth. Train yourself not to talk negative. Let there be the element of faith and grace in what you say. You will have what you say; so why not say the right things? Speak power! Speak prosperity! Speak life!
