THE PRIESTLY BLESSING

Numbers 6:24‭-‬27 The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.‬‬

Our opening scripture is one of the most beautiful ministries of the priest. The priests in Bible days were ordained by God to bless Israel on this wise, anytime they assembled in the tabernacle or temple.

The priest is a picture of the pastor or the man of God today. You do not need money from your Pastor; that won’t help you much. One word of blessing from a true man of God’s mouth can change the narrative of your life forever; I know exactly what I am saying.

There are too many believers who don’t value the words of their pastors. They don’t esteem the words of a man of God. To them are they not men like us? After all, I can pray myself! That’s the reason many of them struggle in life. You are not smarter than God who gave you a pastor and the men of God scattered across the nations of the earth, who are designed by God to give you the necessary lift in life. Smart people don’t fight their battles alone; they make alliances; make an alliance with your man of God.

A man in scripture suffered for 38 long years. One word from Jesus ended his many years of misery. A woman whose husband died broke went to the prophet Elisha and she received her miracle with one word from the prophet of God. One word from Peter’s mouth broke the power of lameness on the man at the beautiful gate.

Henceforth esteem the words of your pastor. Smart members know how to take advantage of the anointing on their pastors. Sometimes you can take a seed to a man of God and ask him to bless you; it provokes all kinds of super happenings. Don’t listen to the nay sayers; they will always be there. Just be obedient to the voice of the scriptures.

Pastors must have this understanding and not dispatch their members without blessing them. Speak life into their careers and families. Bless them and they will flourish. And you the member, receive by faith the words of blessings spoken over you by the man of God.
