PREPARING FOR THE YEAR BY WISE PLANNING

Proverbs 24:3 Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.

Any serious builder will first draft a plan before proceeding to build. Unfortunately, many journey through life without a plan. Your life is more important than a building; plan for it. You must of necessity plan for this year. What is your growth plan? What is your financial plan? What is your career plan? What is your plan for your relationships?

A plan is simply steps that is carefully designed to accomplish a goal or a vision. Even if you have a vision but you don’t have a plan, you will not get far in life. Imagine a building contractor trying to build a house without a plan! Not only will he not come out with anything, he will also be frustrated and unfulfilled.

Fulfilment comes when you know that you have accomplished that which you set out to do. Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: But when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.”

You cannot build anything of great value without a plan. If you want the best out of this year, you must be intentional; you must plan. To go through the year without a vivid written plan, is to just roam through the year aimlessly. Take out some time to do some thinking and planning for the accomplishments of your goals for this year.
